JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant science program (Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field).
- Basic knowledge of laboratory practices and safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in preparing laboratory materials, reagents, and equipment for experiments.
- Perform basic laboratory techniques under supervision, such as pipetting, weighing, and solution preparation.
- Maintain a clean and organized lab environment, including sterilization of tools and disposal of waste.
- Record data accurately and maintain proper documentation of lab activities.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking and organizing lab supplies.
- Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support research or testing projects as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work safely and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods while performing lab tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (e.g., lab equipment, supply boxes).
- Manual dexterity to handle small lab instruments and perform precise procedures.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, lab coats, and safety goggles.
- Good vision and hand-eye coordination for detailed work.
