PL Developments, also known as PLD, is a leading manufacturer, packager, and distributor of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products and consumer healthcare goods.
SUMMARY:
As a Maintenance Repair Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of facilities. Your role will involve diagnosing and repairing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues, as well as performing carpentry, painting, and minor HVAC tasks. You'll need to operate a range of tools and equipment, from hand tools to forklifts and lifts.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm (OT required)
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years’ experience in general maintenance responsibilities including the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures
- Basic knowledge of the following fields: HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, carpentry and painting
- Must have the ability to operate hand, power, and bench tools
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed
- Must have a valid Driver’s License if operating a company vehicle
- Must be able to use forklift, scissor lift & boom lift
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform minor plumbing maintenance (replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains and toilets, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.).
- Perform painting, carpentry and masonry work including sheet rock, insulation, ceilings, and floors.
- Reconfigure, install, and remount modular office.
- Make sure all forklifts batteries are being watered properly as scheduled.
- Replace and/or update inoperable or old building materials and appliances (motors, belts, pumps, sinks, doors, cabinets, shelves, tile, filters, etc.)
- Oversee building maintenance tasks including the performance of building construction, maintenance and remodeling tasks including carpentry, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.); under the direction of management.
- Perform perimeter door reports and fire extinguisher checks as scheduled.
- Perform janitorial and other duties and special projects as assigned both on and off site.
- Maintain storage rooms, inventory and request maintenance and janitorial supplies.
- Section off unsafe conditions in work area and report any hazardous conditions to supervisor immediately.
- Work cooperatively with other departments.
- Perform open and closing procedures for building as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Extended periods of standing, walking, reaching, stooping, and bending.
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
- Strong hand-eye coordination when handling products.
