PL Developments, also known as PLD, is a leading manufacturer, packager, and distributor of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products and consumer healthcare goods.
SUMMARY:
The position involves developing and managing a supply plan based on forecasted demand to ensure timely delivery of products while coordinating with key internal teams, including Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance. The candidate will be responsible for executing and maintaining the production plan, generating work orders, prioritizing QC testing, conducting production meetings, and monitoring shipping schedules. The role also includes supporting cost modeling, forecasting, and procurement functions, as well as participating in Sales and Operations Planning sessions with customers.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am-4pm
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience required
- Knowledge of MRP, MRP II or ASCP preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills preferred
- Working knowledge of Oracle Production Scheduling Software preferred
- Experience in regulated/cGMP environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks, adjust to changing priorities and work with minimal supervision
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Based on forecasted demand, put forth a supply plan that supports the forecast & ensures OTD
- Coordinate & align with all relevant internal teams (Manufacturing, QC & QA)
- Ensure new product launches & demo batches are appropriately accounted for in the schedule
- Manage the execution of the plan, daily, weekly, monthly
- Request batch records
- Generate work orders
- Prioritize testing for QC lab
- Generate shipping schedule
- Conduct production meetings to review raw materials, production & shipping status
- Coordinate priorities for QA record review
- Close work orders
- Generate QR forms to submit to QA
- Request pre planned deviations as needed
- Maintain production plan on Shared Drive & video monitors
- Serve as a backup for any cost modeling on new opportunities
- Identify & track planning related metric to measure performance & identify process improvement opportunities
- Generate PO & order supplies for Warehouse, Operations & QA
- Interface with Procurement team to align on incoming materials
- Serve as a backup for generating forecast/demand outlook
- Participate in S&OP session with CMO customers
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
- Work is performed in a standard office environment
- Subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting of objects up to 25 pounds
