Place Services, Inc. has an immediate need for a Low Voltage Systems Installer in Columbus, OH.
This is a Temp to Perm Low Voltage Installer opportunity for an 8-10-month commercial construction project.
We’re looking for an installer with proven experience installing Structured Cabling and some additional experience mounting and connecting end devices for Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion, and Fire Alarm systems.
This is an ideal position for an experienced installer looking to showcase their skills in a fast-paced and complex project. In addition to our competitive compensation, the project pays prevailing wages (Davis-Bacon Act) at $36.50 per hour plus fringe benefits to be worth at least $23.15 per hour. Differences between benefit value and prevailing wage requirement will be paid to the Installer.

What You’ll Do:
- This candidate will focus on installing Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion, and Fire Alarm systems.
- Additional experience with Structured Cabling installation and manufacturer’s certification is a plus.
- Needs experience installing a wide range of low voltage cabling to include Cat-6/6A jack terminations at patch panels and faceplates; some manufacturer’s or BICSI Installer certification is a plus.
Who You Are:
- Candidate should demonstrate a knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA) and must have prior work experience on large construction site projects working under the supervision of a Project Manager and/or Lead Technician and with all trades.
- Troubleshooting and repairing network and controls systems
- Low voltage cabling and device installation skills.
- The Installer needs their OSHA card; manufacturer’s certifications are a plus.

- The ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis

- The ability to ascend and descend ladders and other elevated structures
- Must be able to work from heights from an elevated aerial device
