Place Services, Inc. has a new role, and an immediate opening for a seasoned and strategic Operational Excellence Director within our General Contracting Division local in our Canton, GA HQ. This new role is critical in setting and maintaining PSI’s quality, process, and safety standards, leading a transformation towards a unified, high-performance culture that aligns with the ONE PSI vision. The QPS Director will drive quality and safety excellence across all operations and serve as a key collaborator with divisional leaders, ensuring consistency, client-centered practices, and operational efficiency and will build out the appropriate organization that can execute the QPS strategy for the organization.

What You'll Do:
As the Operational Excellence Director, you will champion a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation by standardizing quality and process practices, driving a zero-incident safety culture, and ensuring exceptional outcomes across all divisions. By partnering with leaders, conducting audits, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives, you’ll align teams under our ONE PSI vision, fostering collaboration and high performance. As a mentor and change agent, you’ll inspire a commitment to excellence, leveraging KPIs to measure success and enhance both the client experience and employee engagement.
Key Deliverables and Focus Areas: The Quality, Process, and Safety Director will focus on the following areas to ensure operational excellence and compliance:
Quality Assurance and Control
- Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive quality assurance program across all construction projects.
- Set standards for quality control procedures, inspecting construction sites, materials, and equipment.
- Conduct regular quality audits and assessments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to address quality-related issues promptly.
- Provide training to staff on quality control best practices and regulatory compliance.
Process Improvement
- Analyze current construction processes and workflows, identifying areas for increased efficiency and cost savings.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Develop and implement standardized procedures for project and site management and construction methods.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline communication and ensure alignment with company objectives.
Project Safety Management
- Oversee all aspects of the safety management system, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
- Develop, update, and enforce safety protocols and procedures on all project sites.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits, identifying and addressing potential hazards.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and subcontractors on safety practices.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, implementing preventive measures to reduce future risks.
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead a team of quality and safety professionals, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
- Foster a culture of safety and quality, encouraging accountability and continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory updates to maintain the company’s competitive edge.
- Communicate with senior leadership on quality and safety performance and regulatory compliance.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Address client concerns related to quality and safety, ensuring project delivery meets expectations.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all activities meet applicable laws and regulations.

What You’ll Bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications in Quality Management, Lean Six Sigma, or Safety Management are preferred.
- At least 15 years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on quality, process, or safety leadership.
- Proven success in implementing quality and safety programs and driving culture change in a multi-division environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and foster collaboration.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process optimization, leveraging data to make informed decisions.
- Willingness to travel as needed to engage with field teams and understand operational environments.
