What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Engineer position at Place Services Inc.?
Place Services, Inc. has an immediate need for a Structural Engineer for our General Construction Division to be based out of our Canton, GA HQ office location.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of structural design, particularly with cold-formed framing, and proficiency in industry-standard software tools.
Candidates must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Georgia and have the ability to obtain licensure in other states as needed.

What You’ll Do :
- Design, analyze, and develop structural solutions for a variety of projects, with a focus on cold-formed framing.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and reports using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
- Conduct structural assessments and inspections as required.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budgets.
- Stay updated on advancements in structural engineering practices, materials, and technologies.
