Job Summary
Moore Medical Group is seeking a family nurse practitioner to join our team to provide medical management to patients in an acute behavioral care setting with a supervising physician. The FNP will provide treatment and diagnosis in the form of History & Physicals, consultations, and follow-up care, working with other interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care to optimize patient outcomes. The facility provides the most comprehensive, highest quality behavioral health care services in the Orlando area. The patient population consists of an adult unit in the facility caring for patients that are mentally challenged - some are verbal, but most are non-verbal with autism. The facility also holds a reputation for being an innovative and progressive service provider by creating programs and expanding services to meet the needs of the community.
The Family Nurse Practitioner responsibilities also include functioning independently to maintain clinical and professional competency for adults through geriatrics, and special needs/health conditions of the population served. Promotes a safe environment and performs all job functions in a safe manner. Functions under the general supervision of the supervising physician and the Clinical Director as appropriate.
Education, Experience And Certifications
Nurse practitioner Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner Program that includes training for all age ranges of patients and have a Florida nursing license that includes recognition by the NCSBN as an Advanced Practice Nurse (master’s in nursing required).
Physician Assistant Applicants must be a graduate of a program approved by the Council on Medical Education of the AMA and certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed in Florida.
