Development Services Coordinator

About the position

The Development Services - Permitting Coordinator is responsible for supporting development services through the coordination of permitting processes and various administrative tasks. This role requires managing multiple projects across multiple states and jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and maintaining accurate records of permitting activities. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction, engineering, architecture, or planning, and possess strong organizational and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Research zoning, building codes, and regulatory requirements and prepare Site Investigation Reports in support of project activity.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including preparing reports, maintaining project documentation, and scheduling meetings.
• Coordinate and manage the permitting process for multiple development projects in multiple states and jurisdictions.
• Prepare, submit, and track permit applications with various municipal and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain accurate records of permitting activities, project timelines, and compliance requirements.
• Serve as a liaison between project managers, clients, contractors, and government agencies.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure timely permit approvals to keep projects on schedule.
• Stay informed on updates to building codes, ordinances, and permitting procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in permitting coordination or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
