We are searching for a Project Architect with 10 years of experience who is a licensed architect through the AIA and has extensive project design and management experience practicing architecture in Texas.
The Project Architect will have the opportunity to work on projects from inception through substantial completion. The ideal candidate will be one who can balance being a producer with the desire to coordinate a multidisciplinary team through all phases of architectural design while working with internal and external stakeholders and leading meetings, projects reviews and overall budget.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all aspects of projects design from project inception to completion

  • Researches and remains up to date about architectural product types, product literature, trends, specifications, material costs, and applicable building codes.

  • Performs field documentation of site conditions, existing building conditions, and field measurements to create detailed reports and often reproduce findings in 3D software.

  • Provides assistance with bidding and negotiations as well as construction administration. Makes construction site visits and coordinates addenda, RFIs, submittals, Applications for Payments, Change Orders, and construction closeout documents.

  • Writes and edits architectural specifications and prepares overall project manuals.

  • Assists with marketing, business, development, and client relation efforts. Produces/assists with content to be included in RFQs/RFPs and proposals.

  • Primarily utilizes Revit along with software such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Lumion to effectively communicate both two- and three-dimensional architectural design ranging from conceptual designs to construction details.

  • Perform QAQC technical reviews as well as coordinates and reviews project documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.

  • Has a strong understanding of construction and material costs and prepares detailed opinion of probable construction cost reports for each phase of the project design.

  • Collaborates with the client and project stakeholders in development of the programmatic direction based on understanding the individual needs of the client and their budget to be effectively maintained throughout the project.

  • Maintains budget and project delivery schedule while communicating concerns with Project Team and client.

Qualifications

  • Accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture

  • 10 years’ experience

  • Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Office 365, and experience in AutoCAD and the ability to mentor junior team members

  • Registered Architect

  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED is preferred but not required
