Position Available: Vocational Coverage Specialist (Career Coach/Direct Support Professional)
- Assist a caseload of 8-10 clients in exploring and securing competitive employment through job assessments, identifying job shadowing opportunities, and considering the impact of work income on disability benefits
- Support job development by helping with resume creation, employer outreach, application submissions, interview preparation, and understanding the effect of wages on benefits.
- Work closely with employers and clients to ensure job retention, provide ongoing support, training, and counseling to enhance job satisfaction and performance.
- Develop and monitor individual client goals and progress, maintaining communication with the interdisciplinary team and completing required reports and documentation.
- Participate in staff meetings and training, ensure compliance with state regulations, and manage weekly activity schedules and labor reporting.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma/GED, a valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle and proof of up to date auto insurance. Prior experience working with individuals that have developmental disabilities is not required but preferred. Successful sales, marketing or employment placement experience, preferred not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $23.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
