Early Childhood Coordinator (part-time)

Holliston's Placentino Elementary is seeking a part-time (.5 FTE) Early Childhood Coordinator for the new school year.  The Early Childhood Coordinator works in collaboration with the PreK-2 Administrators (Principal, Assistant Principal and Students Services Administrator) as well as the Director of Student Services in providing coordination in program development, screening and assessing early childhood students. This role will schedule, participate in and facilitate meetings as well as disseminate recommendation/reports of preschool and kindergarten screening teams.

Qualifications:

• Early Childhood background with special education certification preferred.  
• Early childhood teaching experience and experience in early childhood screening and assessment techniques also preferred. 

Performance Responsibilities:

• To coordinate the “Turning Three” – Early Intervention process
• To complete the educator portion of the assessments so that preschool teachers are not pulled from the classroom (1-2 hours per evaluation)
• To coordinate our Placentino “itinerant services” (speech/language, OT, PT) for PreK age children  
• To provide professional development and coaching that addresses the unique needs of the PreK learning environment and staff
• To coordinate and facilitate community outreach
• To coordinate current programming for our PreK programs and to implement programmatic changes
• To facilitate Kindergarten Screening
• To write/gain/monitor our Early Childhood Grants
• To assist with the implementation of the corrective action plan from the coordinated program review where we were found to have partially implemented preschool assessments that were appropriately selected and interpreted for students referred for evaluation

This position is a member of the Holliston Educational Administrators' Union and is benefits eligible.
