We work in partnership with the 16 local school districts and one community college district in Placer County to equip every child with a first-class education to succeed in a global economy, to appreciate the cultural, social and historical resources of their community, and to be active participants in civic responsibilities.

PCOE’s role includes approval of local school district budgets to ensure sound fiscal operation, reviewing and approving Local Control Accountability Plans (LCAPs), and developing professional development and educational opportunities for educators. In addition to providing services to local school districts, PCOE also operates educational programs that provide services directly to students such as special education programs for students with rare disabilities and alternative education programs for students who have been expelled or probation referred.
Requirements / Qualifications
Part-Time Position
4000 Signing Bonus : $2000 provided at completion of each of your first 2 years of employment

Three Letters of Recommendation (must be dated and have a signature)
Must posses the following :
Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) or equivalent with a score of 4.0 or higher
Educational Interpreter Written Assessment or equivalent assessment certification with a pass / fail score of 75% or higher.
Completion of an accredited college-level interpreter training program required.
Proof of CPR Certification or have the ability to obtain one within 30 days
Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification is preferred.
Must posses a valid California Drivers License
Applicants may be tested.
