The Placer County Office of Education (PCOE) believes quality education is a vital priority for the students and citizens of Placer County.
We work in partnership with the 16 local school districts and one community college district in Placer County to equip every child with a first-class education to succeed in a global economy, to appreciate the cultural, social and historical resources of their community, and to be active participants in civic responsibilities.

PCOE’s role includes approval of local school district budgets to ensure sound fiscal operation, reviewing and approving Local Control Accountability Plans (LCAPs), and developing professional development and educational opportunities for educators. In addition to providing services to local school districts, PCOE also operates educational programs that provide services directly to students such as special education programs for students with rare disabilities and alternative education programs for students who have been expelled or probation referred.
Requirements / Qualifications
Full-Time Position
4000 Signing Bonus : $2000 provided at completion of each of your first 2 years of employment.
Internal Applicants : Although an EdJoin application is the only requirement for internal applicants : it is recommended that you include all items listed to allow all panel members a complete view of your qualifications and background.
Required level of education in order to obtain the appropriate authorization from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) for the position.
Must possess an appropriate California teaching credential with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing authorization, Communication Handicapped or the ability to obtain alternative certification.
Must possess or have the ability to obtain an English Learner Authorization. Possess documentation of American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI) / Sign Language Proficiency Interview minimum score of 4.0 or equivalent assessment.

If hired, must provide proof of a valid California Driver's License
