Special Day Class Teacher

Under the direction of a site administrator and program specialist, provide instruction, assessment and program planning for special education students with emotional disabilities, as well as students with learning disabilities, Intellectual Disability, attention deficit and attention deficit hyperactivity disorders; monitor and evaluate student progress and behavior; research, obtain and provide instructional materials for special education services; serve as informational resource for students, parents and District personnel; work within a Special Day Class environment and within the general education classroom. The district was established in 1948 and is nestled in the Sierra Foothills. Placer Hills Union School District serves approx. 750 students TK-8th grade in Meadow Vista and surrounding communities. Minimum Qualifications: Valid California credential authorizing service in the appropriate grade level and/or subject area, Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Mild/Moderate Disabilities or Specialist Instruction Credential - Special Education/Learning Handicapped CLAD/CTEL or equivalent certification "Highly Qualified Teacher"
