Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintains schedule (in conjunction with team assistant) over a designated route and ensures the safety and timely delivery of passengers – any adjustments to schedule must first be approved by supervisor
- Familiarizes self with emergency procedures as outlined in Places for People (PfP) Policy and Procedure Manual and will receive training in Standard First Aid (including CPR) through PfP
- Reports any incidents with clients and vehicle accidents/injuries as soon as possible (immediately prior to, during, or immediately after transport) to supervisor
- Keeps vehicle clean and always maintained, and reports issues to supervisor
- Assists passengers on and off the vehicle, if needed
- Maintains mileage and passenger logs
- Communicates with treatment team when an assigned client does not keep transportation appointment as well as when a client is denied a ride due to safety issues
- Communicates critical / crisis situations, any observed abuse/neglect, and any observed criminal activity to supervisor
- Provides all services with respect for the clients, as a representative of PfP
- Completes annual training requirements as outlined by agency requirements and supervisor
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor
