General Description
The nursing supervisor, under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing assumes responsibility for the delivery of nursing services at the facility. Collaborates with leadership from other departments to support and coordinate care for persons served. Performs administrative functions as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing direct supervision to centralized nursing office and residential nursing staff.
- Responsible for performing chart audits and other quality assurance measures as directed by DON.
- Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory of nursing supplies and personal protective equipment.
- Responsible for teaching Medication Assistance/Administration Record Class to new employees.
- Responsible for conducting audits of MARS and medication storage quarterly,
- Responsible for scheduling and participating in nursing peer reviews monthly.
- Participates in interviewing and is responsible for onboarding of new nursing staff in collaboration with treatment team supervisor.
- Reviews and signs EMR entries of new nurses for 3 months post hire.
- Responsible for ensuring coverage for vacancies.
- Responsible for completing and distributing weekly injection list.
- Responsible for completing and carrying out yearly medical emergency or competency drills at Soulard and the Residences.
- Assists the DON in conducting monthly nurses meetings.
- Attends leadership meetings (middle management, program manager etc)
- Provides direct coverage of nursing office one day per week.
- Participates with Director of Nursing and treatment team supervisor in monitoring monthly data metrics and creating/implementing quality improvement processes.
Other tasks:
- Maintains licensure and improves professional skills by attendance at appropriate training seminars.
- Completes annual training requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by Director of Nursing.
