Job Description
PlaceWorks is seeking a full-time, Associate or Senior Planner in Orange County or Los Angeles to manage general plan updates, general plan amendments, specific plans, and similar long-range planning projects. The ideal candidate is conscientious, creative, self-starting, outgoing, collaborative, and passionate about helping shape and improve communities.
Supporting associate principals, principals, and other senior staff, the Associate or Senior Planner will support the Project Manager and / or Principal-in-Charge with research, report writing, analysis, and public outreach to contribute to the successful completion of projects at a variety of scales, often working concurrently on more than one project. The person in this position will also manage projects or tasks within a larger project. The person in this position would report to Principals in our Santa Ana or Los Angeles offices and work with other team members around the state. - You are proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat and InDesign.
- You have a bachelor's degree or master's degree in urban or regional planning, or closely related field.
- You have a current and valid driver's license, proof of automobile insurance, and acceptable MVR to drive on Company business for performing site visits and attending meetings.
For an Associate position, the pay range is $75,000 - $111,000 per year, dependent upon experience and other relevant factors.
For a Senior Associate position, the pay range is $95,000 - $160,000 per year, dependent upon experience and other relevant factors.
