Role Context:
The Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Manager position plays a critical role in overseeing procurement processes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, vendor compliance, purchase order processing.
This role is crucial to the success of pladis North America in delivering to our customers and consumers.
Key accountabilities & deliverables:
- Manage Indirect categories and Co-Manufacturing spend of ~$50MM
- Maintain vendor relationships and seek strategic partnerships
- Lead RFP process and negotiations as needed
- Support RFP through data management and analysis
- Support the new product development process
- Run and analyze key procurement reports (PPV, spend reports, etc)
- Run and analyze relevant SRM reports
- Develop catalogs for all products and services purchased through P2P
- Manage approved vs. non-approved vendors, products, and services
- Help create and execute category level strategies
- Be expert problem solver in today’s ever-changing Supply Chain environment
- Help manage Co-Manufacturer network
- Identify, lead, and manage productivity opportunities
- Accurately track cost savings and avoidance
- Stay up to date on industry trends and future outlook
- Help develop short and long-term indirect procurement sourcing strategy
- Helps drive the Supplier approval program
- Properly evaluate new suppliers and determine need
- Manage new supplier on-boarding and system setup
- Other duties as required.
Skills & Experience Require
- 5 years of Direct and/or Indirect Sourcing experience
- Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office
- Computer literate and able to work alone or within a team under own initiative
- Professional communication skills are essential when conversing with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenges and needs to be addressed
