What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Supervisor position at Plaid Enterprises, Inc.?
The Distribution Supervisor oversees all warehouse operations as a hands-on leader, serving and motivating warehouse employees, leading by example, and fostering a positive team-building atmosphere. The candidate will supervise and continuously improve all inbound, outbound, and internal inventory movement.
Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities :
- Supervision, training, and direct assistance of warehouse operations which include, but not limited to, loading / unloading, receiving, sorting, put away, picking, and inventory control.
- Leading by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.
- Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by leading regular physical counts with warehouse teams and reconcile discrepancies with the warehouse inventory system.
- Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to standard operational procedures.
- Measure and report KPIs and operational metrics to the Distribution Manager on a weekly basis.
- Additional responsibilities as requested by my manager.
