What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Analyst position at Plaid Enterprises?
Support the Sales Account Team to drive sales and long-term initiatives with customer interaction and communication. The Sales Analyst provides sales reporting and data analytics to the Sales, Customer Planning, Marketing/Category, and Finance teams to drive key decision making and success measurement of the business related to sales. The Sales Analyst creates and maintains weekly and monthly reports regarding sales trends including point of sale data and customer inventory metrics. The Sales Analyst plays a key role in assisting the Sales Account Team with Sales Call Prep and Assortment recommendations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Weekly reporting/tracking using customer POS data: Sales, Inventory, Promotions, New Items, etc.
- Prepare monthly segment trend, competitive analysis and promotional analysis along with insights using POS and other sources of data we receive
- Build, Automate, and Maintain report metrics and insightful dashboards for various levels of the organization.
- Help with business reviews and fact-based account predictions
- Assist in the identification and analysis of business issues and opportunities
- Interaction, Communication, and Collaboration with the Sales Team, Marketing Team, and Customer Planning Team
- Provide Ad-hoc support and analysis as needed
- Demonstrate flexibility by adapting to changing business needs and performing other duties as assigned to support the team and broader organizational goals.
- Maintain technical skills on appropriate software applications to provide optimum level of support

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 4-year college degree in business, engineering, or related field
- 3 years’ experience in sales or financial analysis
