What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cheerleading Advisor (Assistant) HS, (2) position at Plain Local School District?
Reports to: Principal, Associate Principal and Assistant Principal
Responsibilities:
1. Plans, in cooperation with the students, the activities and programs
for the area of responsibility.
2. Communicates with Principal, Associate Principal or Assistant
Principal to obtain:
a. Approval for activities and programs.
b. Permission to use rooms, equipment and other needed
supplies.
c. Assignment of activity or school calendar.
3. Communicates with parents about activities and receives
parent permission, when appropriate.
4. Arranges for transportation of students and acquires written parent
permission and medical authorization forms when appropriate.
Considers safety a primary factor in arranging transportation.
5. Maintains control of student behavior to ensure that successful
activities occur and that student safety is of highest importance.
6. Assists in the selection of uniforms, equipment and supplies.
7. Attends clinics for upgrading skills following Principal approval.
8. Determines eligibility of students to participate based on discipline
rules, athletic eligibility standards, if any, health status, schedule
conflicts and other factors.
9. Assists in budgeting for the activities for the program.
10. Assumes other duties related to the program as assigned by the
Principal, Associate Principal or Assistant Principal.
