Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a fun environment
- Be a gracious host to all guests and co-workers
- Promote a positive influence in the community
- Operate assigned bank or window according to department and regulatory guidelines
- Count down bank or window at end of each shift and reconcile to the draw amount
- Provide professional, courteous and sincere service to all guests
- Efficiently and accurately process all pari-mutuel wagers
- Efficiently and accurately pay out winners
- Explain wagering rules and procedures to guests in a pleasant and friendly manner
Requirements:
- Outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
- Enjoy hosting others
- Comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests
- High school diploma or equivalent
- General cashiering background or prior money handling experience preferred
- Fluent English language skills (read, write)
- Good math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Excellent customer relations skills
- Ability to learn and comply with department, property and regulatory policy and procedure
- Knowledge of tote system to place customer bets
- Efficiency and accuracy when entering guests wagers and paying out winners
- Ability to cooperate and work well with co-workers and other departments
