Summary :
Under the direction of the Bank COO and IT Security Officer, perform entry-level-computer systems support work in a help-desk setting. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Employees at this level may rely on direction from others to solve problems that are not standard. Employees may assist other staff in performing work of greater complexity. Assist the Bank’s IT Officer with the management of the Bank’s IT Program, IT / Cyber Security, Business Continuity Plan / Disaster Recovery Plan, and VOIP Phone Systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Work with Bank’s IT Managed Services Provider and Bank’s IT Officer to manage, maintain, and document the Bank’s internal network infrastructure, including Routers, Servers, Voice Systems, Desktop Computers, Printers, Scanners, and managing the Bank’s Technology Inventory.
- Perform backups and system cleanup and assist in the issuing of equipment to staff and the returning of equipment.
- Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems, remedial actions taken, and installation activities.
- Set up computers and other office equipment for employees; install standard software; ensure proper installation of cables; and help users resolve common hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Monitors the operation of data communication network equipment, network computer consoles, or similar devices to detect inefficient performance or failures; and initiates corrective action to improve overall performance. Note : A senior-level employee (levels III-V) may serve in a lead or supervisory role; however
- Interact positively with other departments and offices of Plains State Bank to achieve a teamwork environment by maintaining external and internal customer service.
- Oversee day to day operations to ensure that proper security and safety procedures are adhered to on a daily basis; equipment and materials are used properly and report potentially unsafe conditions.
- Monitor employee relationships to maintain harmony within the office and assist in recruiting qualified employees for the Plains State Bank system.
- Set personal goals and image that produce positive results for Plains State Bank.
Computer Skills :
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of standard operating systems, desktop software, and network infrastructures.
Education :
College Degree preferred.
Banking Technology Experience preferred
Completion of banking courses encouraged.
