Job Purpose/Summary
The Analyst II is a communications generalist who works in partnership with Communications colleagues to develop and execute strategies to keep Plains’ internal and external stakeholders informed and engaged. The Analyst II develops compelling communications materials and supports the effective cascade of information, with a focus on tailoring messages to the intended audience.
The Analyst II joins a team that spans North America and is comprised of dynamic, high-performing colleagues from diverse professional backgrounds who are responsible for the representation of Plains to numerous audiences. The team interacts across multiple disciplines within the organization and is well-integrated with company leadership. As a group, we share a vision to develop and deliver compelling messaging to help stakeholders understand the role, value and long-range potential of our employees, business and industry in today’s evolving energy landscape.

Job Responsibilities
Develop and execute internal and external corporate communications related to company and department activities
Create and manage content for the company intranet, newsletters and other employee communications
Create and/or maintain company reference materials such as a company tool kit, evergreen collateral, templates, multimedia assets and brand guidelines
Support company video, photography and design needs
Contribute to social media content creation, website updates and digital analytics tracking
Review and edit communications drafted by other internal teams for clarity, tone, and alignment with company messaging
Assist with planning and execution of employee meetings, other internal events, and corporate volunteer and philanthropy activities
Provide communications support for Plains’ public affairs, government relations and stakeholder engagement efforts
Participate in crisis communications training and, in the event of an incident, support response activities as needed
Help define and internally promote the adoption of communications best practices
Monitor and evaluate communication efforts using metrics, analytics and employee feedback to optimize strategies
Experience
Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus in Communications or a related discipline, and a minimum of 3 years prior related experience
Preference for candidates familiar with PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
Knowledge & Skills
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills, including strong attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
Highly motivated and action-oriented, with a natural tendency to seek out opportunities to contribute
Ability to quickly grasp business concepts and efficiently translate them into easy-to-understand communications materials
Proven ability to prioritize, problem-solve, multi-task and handle deadlines
Comfort and composure working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Highest standard of personal integrity and respect for maintaining confidentiality
Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.
