Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced diesel mechanic to join our team at Plains All American. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and HAZMAT tankers, as well as performing general maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair transport trucks, trailers, and pickups.
- Participate in an on-call rotation schedule.
- Conduct state truck and trailer inspections.
- Perform brake jobs, troubleshooting, electrical problems, and inspect equipment (turbo, engine, A/C, all electrical).
- Assist in scheduling trucks for maintenance and inspections.
- Assist in maintaining Safety Data Sheets.
Requirements
- Intermediate mechanical aptitude and familiarity with diesel and gasoline engines, electronics, and testing equipment.
- Applicable safety training, licenses, and certifications for the job assignment.
- A valid Class C operator driver's license to operate company pickup trucks; CDL license is preferred.
- Possess and maintain a clean driving record and pass pre-employment background check (including MVR) and drug testing.
