Job Summary
This is a regular position in our Operations department. We are seeking a talented individual to perform scheduled and unscheduled mechanical maintenance on various equipment, including pumps, valves, gear boxes, mixers, engines, and other crude oil equipment.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of engine and pump equipment operations, repair, and maintenance. Experience with micrometers, calipers, tolerances, clearances, and related operating parameters of equipment is required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance and upkeep on positive displacement pumps, meters and metering equipment, centrifugal pumps, gear pumps, tank mixers, valves, as well as small engines and motors.
- Change gear lubes, monitor and change oil in pumps, monitor oil temperature, inspect valves, and conduct D.T. inspections.
- Complete administrative documents and forms required by the company and other regulating agencies and maintain up to date maintenance records.
- Evaluate wear and repair needs and trends of pipeline equipment and make recommendations on necessary maintenance.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
- Compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A Testing
- Intermediate computer skills to generate email and complete applicable forms and complete online training as required
This position requires strong communication, interpersonal skills, with the ability to work alone and with minimal supervision. Ability to occasionally lift or carry moderately heavy equipment or parts and position them during maintenance activities may be required. May have to work in confined spaces, working, stooping, kneeling, bending, climbing and walking distances in all types of terrain. Works outdoors in open environment with extremes of heat and cold.
