Job Description
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on equipment such as pumps, valves, gearboxes, mixers, engines, and other crude oil equipment and tools.
- Conduct inspections, repairs, and upkeep tasks according to company guidelines and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and adhere to compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve efficient and reliable equipment operation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of engine and pump operations, repair, and maintenance.
- Experience with micrometers, calipers, tolerances, clearances, and related operating parameters.
- Basic electrical knowledge and familiarity with welding procedures.
- Strong computer skills for generating emails, completing forms, and participating in online training programs.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English for interpreting equipment manuals and related data.
- Organizational skills and proficiency in record-keeping.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Completion of operator qualifications and Haz-Mat training as determined by the Operations Supervisor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with colleagues.
- Ability to lift moderately heavy equipment parts and work in various terrain conditions.
- Capacity to work outdoors in diverse environments with extreme temperatures.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
- Cleared criminal history and satisfactory reference checks.
- Compliance with Plains' drug and alcohol policy, including pre-employment testing.
