Are you an experienced dispatcher or trucking professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We're seeking a Trucking Dispatch Supervisor to lead and coordinate our daily hauling operations for the Sand, Gravel, and Peat divisions.
As a key part of our operations team, you'll manage our fleet, communicate with drivers, oversee scheduling, and ensure customers get what they need—on time and done right.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day dispatch operations for a fleet of dump trucks and trailers.
- Ensures the delivery (dispatch) schedule is maintained throughout the day, making maximum use of truck time by searching for additional loads and/or rescheduling loads as needed.
- Communicate with drivers and Driver Supervisors on planning proper department staffing requirements.
- Ensure that drivers complete and submit all required documentation daily and accurately.
- Responsible for implementing and sending out the Sand & Gravel and Peat DDR, including explanations of why drivers did not meet the minimum goals.
- Work closely with sales, scale operators, and yard staff to coordinate orders and logistics.
- Ensure that customer service is promptly provided by assisting in answering the phone, implementing sales tactics, satisfying customer needs, and completing necessary paperwork for delivery and collection as needed.
- Ensures and maintains the truck tracking system, ensuring that information is correct, up to date, accurate, and running on a daily basis.
- Responsible for supervising the dispatch department and ensuring that all employees in that department are trained and can perform all duties assigned and their schedules.

What We’re Looking For:
- Previous dispatching, logistics, or trucking operations experience (3 years preferred)
- Industry knowledge of aggregates, landscaping materials, or heavy trucking is a huge plus
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a dynamic environment
- Tech-savvy (experience with dispatching software or GPS fleet tracking is a plus)
- Demonstrates good judgment and tact in solving problems and difficult situations with customers, the Sales Department, the Pit, and all other Employees. Also, ensure the dispatch team demonstrates this.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Driver's License
- Three years minimum experience in a hauling environment
Preferred Qualifications
- College Degree in Business
- Commercial Driver License (CDL)
- Six years' experience in a hauling environment with supervisory responsibilities.
