Plan2Placement is partnering with a high-growth Tech company in search of an experienced and strategic Controller to lead the company’s financial operations. This is a critical leadership role that requires deep expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and process optimization to support the company’s continued expansion and success.
While this position is remote, preference will be given to candidates located in Texas for periodic on-site meetings in Dallas, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
- Develop and implement internal controls, accounting policies, and best practices to optimize financial efficiency.
- Lead cash flow management, financial planning, and risk assessment initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and tax obligations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
- Oversee audits, tax filings, and financial reporting to stakeholders, including investors and board members.
- Mentor and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions to support corporate finance initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- CPA designation highly preferred; MBA is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience in the Tech industry or a high-growth environment is a plus.
- Proven track record of leading finance teams and implementing scalable financial processes.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
- Preference for candidates residing in Texas for on-site meetings.
