Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
As part of a facility inspection team, the HVAC Technician will be responsible for inspecting HVAC systems, electrical components of HVAC equipment, and piped utility services, and general fire protection components.
The place of performance will be in Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands, under a 6-month contract and is contingent on the award of the contract.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and document maintenance issues on HVAC equipment
- Consult inspection team on HVAC system and equipment status
- Analyze HVAC systems and equipment when necessary to find inefficiencies or malfunctions and identify solutions to optimize performance and increase the efficiency of operation
- Attend regular meetings with the project team
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications To be successful in the role:
- 5 years of relevant experience in HVAC installation and/or repair
- Preferably completed HVAC certification training
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, building products, construction details/design and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
