What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contractor position at Planes Companies?
The Role:
Individuals are Contracted on a 1099 INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR basis and use their own BOX TRUCK to make deliveries.
Deliver, load, and unload cabinets, and mattresses.
Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area
Inspection of vehicle, equipment, and cargo to ensure everything is safe, legal, and secure
Maintaining a driver's log in accordance with DOT regulations
Daily customer interactions and maintaining good customer relations
Qualifications:
MUST OWN, OPERATE 26'BOX TRUCK
Owner Operator, Sole Proprietor or LLC
The contractor will be responsible for their own 1099 or w2 employee.
21 years of age or older
Valid driver’s license, with for hire endorsement
Proof of insurance on the vehicle being used
An acceptable driving record
An acceptable background check
Professional, uniform appearance
Conditions:
Weekly Pay, per piece
Primarily Monday through Friday (Weekends as needed)
Primarily 1st shift, 6AM start time
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and work primarily standing.
Ability to sit, drive for extended period of time.
