The Procurement Specialist’s primary responsibility is to manage the purchasing process for the organization focusing on creating, sending, and updating purchase orders, ship dates, and supplier relations. In addition this role will develop an understanding of GWS department processes and procedures and use that knowledge to work with their assigned team to arrange and execute project related services, meet account deliverables, and ensure customer satisfaction with a primary focus on the purchasing process. The Procurement Specialist must have the ability to prioritize various day-to-day job duties and make timely, accurate, sound business decisions while ensuring the accuracy and deliverables for purchased product.

- Manage the day-to-day Procurement deliverables.
- Manage the daily communications with product suppliers focused on the interiors business lines.
- Ensure project deadlines are met and communicated.
- Potential to quote Furniture projects using design plans, CAD Drawings, Specification Books and other standard industry forms.
- Complete and submit all related design drawings per job / quote as required.
- Coordinate services and confirm pricing with our inventory partners.
- Review supplier invoices to ensure accuracy when compared to quoted and actual work.
- Properly update all required fields in appropriate operating systems in accordance with client standards.
- Maintain constant communication with internal client and consistently demonstrate a sense of urgency.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 year(s) in customer service position or related industry preferred.
- Design Degree / Prior Experience preferred.
- Purchasing large scale products, particularly furniture preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
- Strong Microsoft Office applications skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point).
- Customer service driven with the ability to meet customer needs in a timely fashion.
This is a full-time position that comes with a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include:
- Pay: $55,000 - $65,000 per hour

- Full-time position. Generally Monday through Friday, first shift.
- Unassisted lift up to 35lbs.
