Working at a dispensary
As you can probably imagine, working at a dispensary can be quite exciting. It gives you the chance to work with cannabis plants in a medicinal or recreational environment (or both) and, as you learn more and more about strains and products you can share your knowledge with others. Your job, whatever position you are in, helps somebody feel physically and / or emotionally better – especially if you work at a medical cannabis dispensary.
As regards the formal requirements for working for a dispensary, you must be at least 21 years old and some positions may require background checks to ensure that you have a clean driving and arrest record. Additionally, applicants interested in working in the cannabis cultivation and growing niches are expected to have a background in cultivation, farming or gardening. All positions require strong verbal communication skills and sales experience.
