The Conversion Technician is a key member of the Planet DDS team, responsible for executing data and image conversions for both trial/test and final/production. This role involves leveraging our data conversion tools, methodology, and processes to convert images and data from various external systems into our cloud-based solutions. The Conversion Technician will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate and efficient data conversions.

The Conversion Technician is a key member of the Planet DDS team, responsible for executing data and image conversions for both trial/test and final/production. This role involves leveraging our data conversion tools, methodology, and processes to convert images and data from various external systems into our cloud-based solutions. The Conversion Technician will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate and efficient data conversions.
- Working schedule: Tuesday - Saturday supporting EST hours (there will be occasional evening/weekend work). Fridays may require a later schedule: 12p - 8p EST
- This is a hybrid role (2x per week) in our Atlanta, GA office.
- Perform trial and final data and image conversion activities, including connecting to client environments, retrieving data, executing the conversion process, analyzing results, performing data validation, troubleshooting, and reporting results.
- Meet directly with clients to retrieve data, execute conversions, and address technical questions or troubleshooting.
- Understand and execute existing data conversion processes and tools.
- Monitor data throughput and loads, troubleshooting, and escalating issues when necessary.
- Perform integrity checks on data and images to ensure complete and accurate conversion results.
- Collaborate with the implementation team, development team, and clients to meet business requirements and product needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience working directly with clients.
- 2-4 years of data management experience or equivalent experience.
- Ability to view and understand database tables and execute basic SQL queries.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to perform data analysis to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and patterns.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant major or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of the dental industry.
- Experience with imaging standards such as DICOM.
- SQL programming skills.
