Dental Assistants help with dental procedures, work on administrative tasks and contribute to the care and support of patients. They play an important part in patient comfort, satisfaction, and education on dental treatments and procedures.
Work Location: In Office
Duties to include:
- Assist at chair side
- Deliver "WOW!" experience to patients and guardians
- Deliver high quality oral hygiene instruction
- Take digital X-rays
- Take intra-oral images
- Apply topical anesthetic and fluoride treatments
- Take impressions and bite registrations
- Adaptation of temporary crowns
- Remove excess cement from fabricated restorations and orthodontic bands
- Pour impressions to make stone, plaster and trims models
- Fabricate mouth guards, temporary crowns, and custom impression trays
- Prepare casting models and dies
- Handle instrument cleaning, sterilization/disinfection and re-circulation
- Perform dental treatment room disinfection
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience:
- Active Texas Dental Assisting License or License in process
- Valid and current BLS certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong verbal communication skills
