Job Summary
The 5AM - 9AM Member Services Representative / Fitness Trainer is a hybrid position responsible for creating a positive start to the day and the overall member experience through customer service excellence directed toward valued members, prospects, and guests. The Fitness Trainer element of this position may be responsible for running Planet Fitness group fitness programs (PE@PF). This includes assisting new members in the achievement of their fitness goals by designing a simple workout program and instructing them on the proper use of equipment. New or aspiring personal trainers are welcome to apply!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
- Handle all front desk related activities including, but not limited to:
- Daily Open - Brand Excellence
- Answer phones with candor and cordiality
- Assist with a variety of questions.
- Warmly greet and direct new and existing members, guests, and prospects
- Eager to engage new member enrollment
- Tours
- Member account maintenance
- Increase knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to answer questions and resolve concerns in a timely and professional manner and/or alert Assistant Manager or Club Manager, as needed.
- Assure club cleanliness and order
- Periodically conduct Planet Fitness PE@PF programs, including creating and following schedules
- Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to properly and safely use the equipment
- Create bi-weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.
- Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic
Qualifications/Requirements
- Customer service and/or fitness experience preferred
- Basic computer proficiency
- A passion for people, fitness, and health

- High School diploma/GED equivalent required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Physical Demands
- Continual standing, walking, and often speaking during shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (lbs.) on occasion.
