Planet Fitness, a private equity backed fitness retailer, is seeking candidates for the role of a Fitness Trainer. The Fitness Trainer is a highly friendly and courteous individual who consistently delivers first-rate service and fosters positive customer satisfaction and loyalty while promoting ECP-PF Holdings-Planet Fitness Mission, Vision and Values. The Fitness Instructor must be adept at balancing multiple tasks with a friendly, courteous demeanor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Observe participants and inform them of corrective measures necessary for skill improvement;
- Instruct participants in maintaining exertion levels to maximize benefits from exercise routines;
- Teach proper breathing techniques used during physical exertion;
- Evaluate individuals' abilities, needs, and physical conditions, and develop suitable training programs to meet any special requirements;
- Monitor participants' progress and adapt programs as needed;
- Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations governing sports, recreational activities, and the use of exercise equipment;
- Administer emergency first aid, wrap injuries, treat minor chronic disabilities, or refer injured persons to physicians.

Skills
- Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes of workday (i.e., assisting in stocking/maintaining inventory levels) with appropriate safety equipment
- Ability to occasionally bend at waist with some twisting up to one hour of workday
Minimum Qualifications
- 18 years old or older
- A High School Diploma Or Equivalent required, Associates degree preferred
- Six months face to face customer service experience in a retail environment required or 1-year Fitness experience preferred
- Bilingual a plus
