Job Summary:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, installing, and repairing equipment and infrastructure within the utility distribution system. This role ensures the reliable and safe operation of the system through activities such as system protection, locating and marking underground lines, replacing and installing meters, conducting service and system connections, and inspecting and maintaining valves and hydrants. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
- Experience in field service, utility maintenance, or a related field is a plus.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, equipment, and technology for inspections and repairs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
