Our Client is the ranked #9 largest Construction Management Company and #7 Program Management Company by Engineering News Record (ENR) and provides consulting services with many high-profile clients across key business sectors and industries that include several Fortune 100 companies and notable Utility / Power Companies. They are currently supporting major FDOT projects in Florida and are in need of a Highway Design Engineering Lead. This person will work with a team of engineers and designers to successfully complete projects on schedule and to compliance / regulation requirements. This role requires someone with a FL Professional Engineering License along with FDOT specific experience.
What this position provides:
- Salaried Role: $145,000 - 177,000 (Dependent on Experience / Education)
- ONSITE - 5 Days a week

How will you contribute to the team?
- As part of the infrastructure team, you'll serve an integral role in the firm by providing professional engineering consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of diverse projects.
- Developing and evaluating engineering reports, plans, and specification criteria.
- Coordinating with a diversified project team, including development of client communication, proposal coordination, marketing, presentations, and management of other discipline-related activities.
- Preparing specifications, scaled drawings and proposals and finished plans, specifications, and approvals of materials and construction.
- Meeting with clients to determine objectives and requirements for executing desired scope.
- Reviewing junior staff’s work for technical accuracy and providing technical guidance to other professionals and technicians and performing quality control reviews, field reviews, and observations of ongoing construction projects.
- This position may also review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments, serve as the team expert and/or project lead, lead a discipline team or small multidisciplinary teams to complete projects, and/or manage a small team of direct reports.
What will you contribute?
- Have a degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program and minimum fifteen years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Be a professional engineer in good standing.
- Be knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
- Be proficient in production software and construction document production.
- Have proven ability to successfully address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business-like manner.
- Have experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-size projects and providing technical guidance to junior-level staff, including reviewing others' work for technical accuracy.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.
Salary : $140,000 - $177,000
