Job Title: Production Scheduler
Salary: $80,000 - 85,000
Bonus: 5% Annual Bonus

POSITION SUMMARY
Develops and publishes weekly and daily schedules for production operations. Prepares short-range plans for plant production activities to ensure timely order shipments, efficiency, and cost-effectively runs to meet customer demand.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares and prioritizes daily and weekly production schedules based on customer needs, availability of raw materials, labor, and equipment. Reviews production schedules, work orders, and staffing guidelines to determine personnel or material requirements or material priorities.
- Tracks progress of production and compile/analyze data to monitor schedule attainment; assesses completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
- Reviews daily and weekly production and escalates any production/capacity issues that are at risk
- Monitors actual output versus production plan, identifies gaps and drive solutions to meet those gaps
- Maintains production orders in the ERP system
- Manages creation and distribution of work orders to production and work with Operations to insure timely and accurate completion and entry of work orders.
- Works with Supply Chain, Purchasing and Operations to balance production and inventory levels with demand to support targets consistent with customer service levels, inventory turns, capacity utilization requirements and budgetary constraints
- Works with Operations to determine which machines to use for each product based on the capacity and volume required and existing inventories in order to meet customers’ deadlines
- Works with Supply Chain and Purchasing to monitor materials inventories to ensure that there are enough materials on hand to meet short-range schedules
- Works with Demand Planner to develop and maintain inventory levels with input from Customer Service, Production, and Sales to achieve corporate goals
- Maintains safety stock levels
- Generates and prepares work orders and distributes to production
- Receives and reconciles completed work orders from production, confirming receipt of all
- Compiles information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, or customer information, to generate status reports
- Works closely with plant production personnel on a daily basis: communicate issues to Customer Service and management.
- Revises and effectively communicates schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, and/or engineering.
- Collaborates with other departments and supports the SSOP process to schedule in the most cost effective way to drive overall operational efficiency

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in production scheduling in a fast-paced, multi-line environment.
- Experience with scheduling software, Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word) required
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
