Our client is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer & Inspector to support projects in their Southeast Region.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the administration and inspection of construction engineering projects/programs
- Plan and organize work for subordinate staff; develop and review project-specific policies, methods, practices, and procedures
- Ensure projects conform to client standards and specifications
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for growth
- Foster and maintain strong professional relationships with key organizations to ensure successful project completion and future business development
- Prepare proposals and estimates for upcoming projects
- Review technical work and reports produced by others
- Oversee projects to ensure that schedules and budgets are adhered to
- Conduct periodic inspections at construction or work sites
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in major road and bridge construction
- Familiarity with FDOT policies and procedures (experience with District 3 is a plus)
- FDOT Advanced MOT Certification
- Completion of CTQP Quality Control Manager course and passing of the associated exam
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record in accordance with the company’s driving policy
