POSITION PURPOSE
- Plans and manages logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer fulfillment services.
- Leads the daily activities of the department, focusing on meeting customer needs in a timely basis with an emphasis on safety, productivity and continuous improvement.
- Integrates with sales, purchasing and manufacturing teams directing, optimizing and coordinating the full order cycle to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Strive to satisfy all customer requirements and satisfy their expectations.
- Identify, develop, lead, coach, train and motivate logistics team members.
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Maintain a safe, organized and productive work environment (5S).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety, delivery, quality and cost through kaizen and other activities.
- Develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials.
- Resolve issues related to shipping and inventory discrepancies.
- Establish & maintain relationships with transportation suppliers.
- Comply with laws, regulations and company standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work performed in an industrial environment.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- BS in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years progressive logistics experience and leadership success in a high-volume, fast-paced, Lean Manufacturing environment.
- A firm understanding of shipping requirements and associated standards, and regulations.
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and standard logistics software.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving solving and organizational skills
