Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and performance of human surgical-specimen dissections
- Obtain pertinent clinical information and history, laboratory data, x-rays, and scans
- Describe gross anatomic features and dissection of surgical specimens and postmortem prosection
- Prepare and submit appropriate tissue sections for routine histologic processing
- Triages biological samples such as tissue, blood, and toxicological material tissues for special procedures
