Job Title: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) - Travel
Planet Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for a travel job in Bethel, Alaska.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive diabetes education and care for patients with Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, and those at high risk of developing diabetes.
- Order labs for patients according to hospital policies.
- Document education in electronic health records.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and providing diabetes-related health promotion activities in the YK Delta Region.
- Work closely with village clinic and hospital staff to promote diabetes standards of care and inform of new advances in diabetes care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university using course work approved by an accreditation council through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Minimum two years of experience in a clinical health setting.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with various disciplines for project completion.
- Background in Diabetes Education required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist or BC-ADM credential.
- Bi-lingual (Yupik/English) preferred.
