We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department nurse for a travel contract opportunity in Waterville, Maine. As a travel nurse with Planet Healthcare, you will work in a 48-bed community hospital with a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency medicine and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About the Job:
This ED RN role involves working with a variety of patients, including those with abdominal pain, CHF, chest pain, respiratory illnesses, MI, seizures, animal bites, admitted holds, etc. The nursing team works closely with anesthesia for pediatric sedation and uses Cerner as its charting system and equipment. New hires are oriented on the unit for 1-2 days based on their needs and comfort level.
Work-Life Balance:
The shift schedule includes 12-hour shifts with rotating evenings and weekend rotations every other week. Travelers may take up to 7 days off and must extend their contract for a full week off. Pay package is based on 36 hours per week, with tax-free stipends to be determined.
