Location: Hybrid in Beaverton (Onsite Monday – Thursday, Remote Friday)
Duration: ~9 Months
Pay: up to $60.00/hour, DOE
Planet Interactive is looking for a Merchandising Manager to join our well known retail brand on a 9 month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will be hybrid in Beaverton, OR.
The focus of this role is creating inspiring product on a faster timeline and to serve consumers of the Asia-Pacific & Latin America marketplace. This person will need to have a great understanding of various trends in color, graphics, materials, trims and be the pulse for style, trend and storytelling that local athletes are seeking. This person will also understand and utilize market trends, consumer behaviors & analytics to build insights to bring new products to consumers.
The Merchandising Manager will be responsible for the color, graphics, materials, and trims on all Brand Apparel including but not limited to: Men’s and Women's genders and across Lifestyle and Performance categories.

Responsibilities
- Support the vision for both Men’s and Women’s Apparel teams through a hyperlocal lens
- Understand the mindspace of the consumers in the Geography and understand how to serve them, apply insights from them and make impact through coveted product.
- Work with a broader team across Design and Development and closely partner with global product & merchandising partners to understand & fuel franchise and marketplace strategies
- Monitor progress against objectives and adjust plans as needed, including hitting cost/margin on projects and all aspects of product management to successfully deliver the line to market
- Ensure the accuracy of information in internal product management systems.
- Create and deliver impactful presentations at internal and external meetings on a regular cadence.
- Foster strong relationships with peers across the entire department and partner closely with Merchandising and Brand to ensure integration and alignment on key initiatives, innovations, and product journeys.
- Serve as a proactive partner during critical checkpoints & planning moments.
- Coordinate and communicate the line or specific products to internal and external audiences.
- 5 years of product experience or merchandising
- Bachelor's Degree or 2 additional years of experience in lieu of degree
- Proven track record of building and growing businesses, leveraging strategic decision making and focused execution
- Proven ability to capture consumer insights and translate them into compelling product solutions
- Solid understanding of Apparel Creation and product storytelling
- Phenomenal product eye and strong style sensibility
- Experience leveraging various tools and resources for trend forecasting
- Proven track record of fostering a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to motivate others and drive vision and strategy across functions
- Strategic thinking, product line management and franchise management experience, with ability to drive solid X-functional plans.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentations
- Exceptional attention to details and deadlines, and the ability to balance competing priorities
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including internationally
