About the Role:
As an intern on the Electrical Engineering team, you will work with a small team of dedicated engineers responsible for the design of Planet's satellites. You will design PCBs and write test scripts to help bring-up and validate electrical designs for our next generation fleet of satellites going to orbit.
This is a full-time, 12 week internship during the summer and is based in our San Francisco office 5 days per week.
Impact You'll Own:
- Electrical circuit design
- Schematic Capture
- PCB Layout
- Design test and validation
What You Bring:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering
- Course or Project work
- Circuit analysis with passive components
- Analog circuits, OpAmp circuit analysis, DC and transient analysis
- Digital logic design
- Lab experience with power supplies and oscilloscopes
- Programming/scripting (Python)
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Hands on experience with:
- PCB schematic capture and layout
- Soldering
- Experience with microcontroller programming and embedded systems

EAR/ITAR Requirements:

Compensation:
The US hourly rate range for this position at the commencement of employment is $35. The final salary range is determined by job related experience, skills and location. The range displays our typical hiring range for new hire salaries in US locations only.
