Description:
Our mission is to develop innovative medicines that address significant unmet need in the treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders.
This position will be an integral member of a team providing screening support for the validation of novel CNS targets and the development of first-in-class drugs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing in vitro pharmacological characterization of small molecule drug candidates using enzymatic, gel-, or substrate-based assays in lysates and live cell systems. Experience with mass spectrometry preferred but not required, as this position will be involved in sample preparation for LC/MS-based analysis of small molecules. This person will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data to project teams with minimal supervisor assistance.
Required education, experience, and skills:
BS in Biology or equivalent degree in related science discipline
3 years of lab/bench experience in a scientific academic and/or scientific industry setting
Laboratory experience/skills in biochemistry, molecular and cell biology
Experience with mammalian cell culture
Excellent communication and interpersonal/collaborative skills
Both effective team player and strong individual contributor, flexible, and able to handle multiple tasks and deliver high quality results under tight timelines
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
pay within this range will be commensurate with level of experience
Salary : $35 - $40
