Job Description
Will assist a daily team of Technicians by collecting samples, test in-process samples, and finished samples.
Associate degree with at least 2 years lab experience (experience can be college lab work). Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or Food Science straight from college. Manager will consider candidates graduating soon.
Will prepare laboratory media/solutions, operate auto clave, PH solutions, plate/enumerate microbes, fill out data reports and place results on spreadsheet using Lotus. Data analysis and will be responsible for communicating data results. Must be able to do calculations. Must be very alert, conscientious. Must be able to troubleshoot and have good analytical skills, and flexible to being trained.
This position is NonExempt. Hours over 40 will be paid at Time and a Half.
Pay ranges between $18-19/hr

- Will make and record observations.
- Preform simple calculations.
- Help in support functions; stocking and distributing supplies, collecting, washing, and storing glassware.
