Job Description
Purpose & Scope:
Responsible for supporting the Workforce Services team with US payroll tax activities including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Payroll tax set up with government agencies including registering for new state & local accounts.
ADP smart compliance activities such as uploading tax notices to ADP, liaising with ADP and taking necessary actions. Perform research as needed by reviewing payroll system and communicating with the government agencies.
Ensures payroll reporting and payments are compliant with company policy, generally accepted accounting principles, and federal, state and IRS regulations.? Research of federal and state regulatory requirements and supports the payroll team in resolving tax, withholding, issues for payroll processing. Tracks and works to correct errors in a timely manner to ensure accuracy of payroll tax withholding, minimizing potential penalties.
Collects data for auditors and local, state, or federal agencies as needed.
Maintains payroll files and provide necessary reports or documentation according to the company's established procedures.
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in Business Administration/Finance or equivalent level of knowledge in a relevant field.
7 years US payroll experience including US tax expertise.
5 years experience with ADP payroll platform and SmartCompliance activities.
Excellent skills using MS Word, and Excel.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
Demonstrated high degree of professionalism and integrity.
Advanced problem solving /judgment skills and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
